Festivals

Leicester is home to dozens of festivals, many of which represent different cultural groups.  As well as festivals which have long been celebrated in England, such as Christmas, Easter and Saint George’s Day, Leicester also holds celebrations for religious festivals such as Navrati and Diwali (Hinduism), Eid al Fitr (Islam), Hannukah (Judaism) and Vaishaki (Sikhism).

Other cultural festivals held in Leicester include Chinese New Year, Leicester Caribbean Carnival and Leicester Belgrave Mela.
